Lemon is high in vitamin C and bioflavinoids to fight infections; prevent thickening of arterial walls; strengthening veins, blood vessels, capillaries; may prevent bruising and varicose veins. Contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, and mucilage. It is known to be antiseptic, antirheumatic, antibaterial, antioxidant, reduce fevers and remove acid wastes from the body. Although acidic, this can bring the system to an alkaline state. May be used for treatment for coughs and colds.
