Plantain, used as a tea, has been known to be a decongestant and blood cleanser.  It may be good for the liver, kidneys and heart.  It also has been known to be used for fungal infections, hemorrhoids (using as a sitz bath), lungs, mucous infections and inflammation, prostate enlargement, skin infections, colitis, venom and poisons.   A plantain bath may help relieve poison ivy,
