Those taking medications for diabetes should consult with their doctor before using Ginseng. May interact with warfarin, coumadin and medications for depression.
Those with autoimmune disease, (MS, Lupus, RA, etc.) should consult with their doctor before using Ginseng. May interfere with blood clotting and those with bleeding disorders should NOT be taking Ginseng.
Those with organ transplants may find that Ginseng increases the risk of organ rejection.
Because of estrogen-like effects of Ginseng, this may interact with (female) hormone related issues like breast cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids.
Has been known to interact with medications for diabetes, blood thinners, antidepressants, anti-psychotic meds, stimulants and morphine.
Not to be taken excessively or for long periods of time (maybe 2-3 is needed). Then waiting a several months before using it again.
